Hario Switch & Match Immersion Dripper Switch Base (Cranberry Red)

The valve at the heart of Hario’s Switch & Match brewing system, designed to pair with the Switch & Match V60 dripper, to brew as a pour-over, a full immersion, or as a blend of both. When you choose this product, you will also need the Hario V60 Switch & Match Ceramic Dripper and size 02 filter papers.

Understand the Choice. This is one half of a two-part brewer: it’s the base that holds the valve that makes the “switch” work. This is why you’ll need a matching Switch & Match V60 ceramic dripper (sold separately) to brew with it. We stock it because it’s genuinely more versatile than an ordinary pour-over: close the valve and it brews as a full immersion, or open it and it drains straight through like a standard V60. You can also do both in the same brew – infuse first, then release – which is where the real experimentation starts. You can tune body, sweetness and extraction. These small changes to contact time can create a noticeable change the cup. Perfect for anyone who likes to tinker with the flavours in their brew.
