Our House Blend was chosen after extensive tasting to find the combination that would appeal to customers who want a reliable, characterful morning coffee – something with real backbone.

What it tastes like

Bold and impactful, with a citrusy zest running through it. This is not a subtle coffee – it’s designed to make itself known. If you like a strong first cup that does what it says, this is the one. All specialty grade beans, roasted to bring out the full flavour rather than tip into harshness.

How to brew it

This blend performs particularly well as a French press – the denser, fuller-bodied brew suits its character. It also works in an espresso machine or in a drip coffee machine. Avoid over-extraction in the cafetière (don’t leave it steeping too long before pressing), or the balanced chocolate, apple and lemon zest notes can tip into bitterness.
