AeroPress Clear Colours Coffee Maker

From £39.95

AeroPress Clear Colours Coffee Maker Description

AeroPress Clear Colours range uses the same AeroPress brewing method as our Original, in portable, shatterproof, see-through Tritan™ – so you can watch the brew happen, in your chosen colour.

Understand the Choice. This is the one we’d point you toward if you actually want to watch the brew happen, or if you just want a bit more personality on the shelf than the Original – it comes in seven colours, from fully clear through to solid black. It brews the same way as the Original: the material and the look are what’s different here, not the method. Made from Tritan™ rather than polypropylene, so it’s shatterproof as well as transparent, and it costs a bit more than the Original as a result.

Pour, stir, plunge – exactly the same routine as the Original, and the same paper-filtered, grit-free cup. AeroPress markets this as “3-in-1” brewing, but the mechanism is the one the Original already uses; the genuine difference is being able to see the whole process happen through the wall of the brewer, which is either a fun novelty or a proper way to learn what’s going on inside it.

Tritan™ is shatterproof, so it travels well and survives being dropped.

AeroPress FAQs

What is an AeroPress?

A compact, manual coffee brewer that combines immersion with air pressure from a plunger to push water through coffee grounds and a paper filter. It needs no electricity, produces a stronger, cleaner cup than a standard filter brew, and the Go or Original size is small enough to pack for travel or camping.

How does an AeroPress work?

Coffee and hot water go into the brewing chamber, are stirred, and left briefly to steep. Pressing the plunger down forces the brewed coffee through a paper filter into your cup, leaving the spent grounds compressed into a solid puck that pops out for easy cleaning. It can also be brewed the other way up (“inverted”) for a slower, more infused result, closer to a cafetière.

What’s the difference between the AeroPress Original and the AeroPress Go?

Same brewer, same brewing method – the Go is the compact travel edition, with a travel mug, sized-down for packing into a bag. Most Go buyers already own an Original at home and want a second, portable one for camping or festivals.

What’s the difference between the AeroPress Original and the AeroPress Clear Colours?

Same brewing method again – the Clear Colours are made from shatterproof, see-through Tritan™ instead of the Original’s polypropylene, so you can watch the brew happen, and it comes in seven colours from fully transparent through to solid black. It costs more than the Original as a result of the material, not because it brews any differently.

What’s the difference between the AeroPress Original and the AeroPress XL?

Same brewing method, larger capacity – the XL uses a shatterproof 20oz Tritan™ carafe, roughly double the capacity of the standard AeroPress, so you can brew more in one go. Best suited to sharing; for solo brewing, the Original, Clear Colours or the Go are the better fit.
