Understand the Choice. It’s easy to assume a hand grinder is a compromise – slower, more effort, a lesser option than an electric one. It isn’t: what actually matters for a good cup is a consistent burr grind, and this uses proper ceramic conical burrs turned by hand. What you’re trading isn’t quality, it’s speed and a bit of arm effort – in exchange, you get something silent, cordless, and small enough to pack in a bag.

The lower bowl doubles as both the grinding chamber and a measure, marked up to two cups (12g each), so you can grind straight into it without a separate container. The grind setting adjusts from coarse to fine, and the whole thing takes apart easily for cleaning. No power, no noise – genuinely useful if you’re grinding early, quietly, or somewhere there’s no socket to plug into.

The current version has a reinforced hexagonal adapter on the handy lock, sturdier than the previous design, in a dark transparent body so you can see the grounds building up.
